Project Global in Mind

Work Participants will operate global citizenship education to local children through cultural exchange program. And also participants will do some manual work in the traditional market to give more active atmosphere of them.

Project Youth Empowering

Location South Korea, Wando
Work Participants will organize Global Cultural Camp. There will be 20-30 local children in a camp who don’t speak English very well. Participants will develop the whole programs with indoor and outdoor activities such as traditional cultures, sports, choir, drawing, learning workshop and so on. It requires creative ideas and full of energy to get local young people exposed to new experiences.

Project Make up Sejong city

Location South Korea, Sejong
Work Participants will do manual work to renovate old houses and environment of the town and help residents to paint walls and houses. And participants will join some activities to interact with residents.

Project Buddha In Nature

Location South Korea, Bonghwa
Work Participants will clean and renovate in and around the temple. And you will also join in the Buddhist camp for children who come for experiencing temple culture. You will prepare an intercultural learning classes through various methods for the children. You should respect the life style of the temple during the project such as early morning wake ups, attend early morning services, adapt to the sleeping, eating and attitude of the temple. It wouldn’t be easy but it will bring lots of fresh and healthy mind and body.
Accommodation & Food In the traditional temple house / Meals are provided

Project Together Worldwide

Location South Korea, Gongju
Work Participants will join in the summer camp as assistants so that they will create new dynamics in the programs by introducing international cultures. Participants simply organize and join in every activity of the summer school such as sports days, role play, and international food days with about 40 young Korean youth. The programs in the summer school will be focusing on local community, culture exchange, eco-friendly activities. Participants should be active to be mingled with youth as assistants and also need to introduce their own cultures such as foods, dance and songs. You will learn how to run a youth project, how to work in a large team.
Accommodation & Food Rooms in the education center / Meals are provided and Self-catering.

Project Youth Laugh, Loudly

Location South Korea, Yeongwol
Work There are two main activities during the project. In first, the participants will become a group teacher to introduce their traditional culture with around 30 local youth during the project. Participants will have various intercultural activities among themselves with their own ideas. Any kind of activities and ideas from participants are very welcomed such as traditional cultures, sports, play, choir, drawing, learning workshop and so on.
In second, participants do voluntary service with a theme of environment conservation in a local village.

Project Jinan, Bridge the world

Work Participants will run the activities related with their own cultures such as languages, traditional dance and games, songs and so on. Participants will also do mural painting to decorate a local school.

Project Art In Nature

Location South Korea, Busan
Work The host organization is planning several events for promoting performance art and public art. They invite some artist for this event from various countries. Participants will assist these artists at the request of them. It could be physical work which is helping assembling the structure or mobile and could be preparing the show place. The artists are excited to work with international young people.

Project WHV-Brilliant Kingdom

Location South Korea, Seocheon
Work Participants will organize the global culture camp for youth not only to give them awareness of world heritage site but also experience cultures of other contries. In addition, they will be known more about the importance of world heritage but also to teach how the other country treat the world heritage through this project.
Accommodation & Food shared rooms with other volunteers in the school dormitory /Meals are provided.

Project Save Life, Save Future

Location South Korea, Goyang
Work ‘Janghang Swamp’ is designated as ‘Korean Wetlands protection’ by Ministry of Environment of Korea in 2006. Since it is prohibited from access for long, a lot of ecosystem still be preserved.
‘Goyang City Youth Foundation’, specializing in activities and welfare for youth in Goyang, open this workcamp not only to make recognition for ecosystem but also make Global Youth Camp. Participants will organize activities and campaigns for ‘Janghang Swamp preservation’ with local students.
Accommodation & Food shared rooms with other volunteers in Dormitory(TBC) Meals are provided.

Project Happy Energy Making

Location South Korea, Jecheon
Work Participants will also do mural painting to decorate a local village and maintain houses and facilities for elders who are disadvantaged physically and economically.

Project Summer for Youth

Location South Korea, Yeongwol
Work Participants will organize the youth camp for the local youth summer camp. The sessions in the projects are quite open to participants although there will be various and exciting activities in the river, mountains and play ground. Therefore, participants are required to bring any ideas and activities to make the programs together.
The project site has various equipment and facilities related with outdoor and indoor activities such as music instrument and sports. Participants are required to like to interaction with youth.

Project WHV-Forgotten Fortress

Location South Korea, Seongnam
Work Participants will organize the global culture camp for youth not only to give them awareness of world heritage site and know more about the importance of world heritage but also to teach how the other country treat the world heritage.
Accommodation & Food  In the university dormitory / Meals are provided.

Requirement Visiting Seoul which is the capital of Korea in free time.

 

Project Sanan

Location South Korea, Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi-do
Work - Poultry farming such as, feeding chickens, collecting eggs every morning, working in the egg-selection-facility.
- Sometimes required to help farming and housework                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Extra activities: You may take some chances to participate in weekend workcamp conducted within the village
Working hours Monday to Sunday (One day off during the weekday)
Accommodation & Food A private room in the village dormitory. Provided meal twice a day
Extra Fee Training fee: €200 for a project
Requirement Qualifications of Volunteers
1) Essential qualification - No allergy to chicken, eggs and nuts
2) Preferred qualification - Open mind to learn from villagers and work
- Orientation for participants is held for 3 days before the projects in Seoul
- At the orientation meeting, IWO will train volunteers on issues such as conflict resolution, project management, and provide detailed information about the project where they will be hosted. And they also get to know Korean culture and basic Korean to live in the local community.

 

Project GREEN DREAM MUJU

Work - Teaching English to students
- Participating classes with students: Pottery class, arts class.
- Joining outdoor activities with students: hiking and field trip
- Teaching English in local children center near the school once a weekTeaching Information:
- The age & Number of students: 16 to 18 years old and around 40 students at the school
- The number of teachers: One English teacher (A main communicator with foreign volunteers)Extra activities: The school may invite you to join them on field trips, such as hiking, cycling.
Accommodation & Food A Shared room with other volunteers or students in school dormitory. Provided meal in school cafeteria
Extra Fee Training fee: €200 for a project
Requirement Qualifications of Volunteers:
1) Essential qualification
- Those who have teaching experience or are interested in teaching. (Especially with non-formal methods)
- Those who are interested in teenagers and socialized with them.
2) Preferred qualification
- Apart from school schedule, you need to be independent to manage your own free time.

 

Project BIG TREE YEONGWOL

Work - Teaching English to primary school students and middle school students
- Helping farming
- Taking care of children while they are in the centerTeaching Information:
- The age & Number of students: 7 to 15 years old and around 30 children at the center.
- The number of Teachers: 3 teachers
Extra activities: The center may invite you to join with them on field trips on Saturday and also invite you to join their pear and sweet potato farm.
Accommodation & Food A shared room with other volunteers in Local Children Center. Provided ingredient for breakfast and lunch, and meal for dinner.
Extra Fee Training fee: €200 for a project
Requirement Qualifications of Volunteers:
1) Essential qualification
- Those who have teaching experience or are interested in teaching. (Especially with non-formal methods)
- Those who are interested in kids and socialized with them.2) Preferred qualification
- Interest in outdoor activities and farming

 

Project SEODONG BUSAN

Work - Operating global citizenship education to local children and resident

- Supporting events such as International Day of Peace, Earth hour and UNICEF Village

Project SUNSHINE UIRYEONG

Work - Teaching English to primary and middle school students

- The age & Number of students: 8 to 16 years old and around 30 children at an LCC
- The number of Teachers: 2 to 3 teachers
Accommodation & Food A separate house from the Local Children center. Provided meal by the host

Requirement Qualifications of Volunteers: Essential qualification
- Those who have teaching experience or are interested in teaching.
- Those who can communicate in English
- Those who are interested in kids and socialized with them.

 

Project NAMUWA YEONGCHEON

Work - Teaching English to students

- Having your own class about languages or cultures (if volunteers want)
- Joining outdoor activities with students
Teaching Information:
- The age & Number of students: 13 to 15 years old
- The number of students: around 60 students in the school
Accommodation & Food A private room in the school dormitory. Provided meal in school cafeteria
Extra Fee Training fee: €200 for a project
Requirement Qualifications of Volunteers:
1) Essential qualification
- Those who have teaching experience or are interested in teaching.
- Those who can communicate in English.
- Those who are interested in teenagers and socialized with them.
2) Preferred qualification

 缴交报名费

- 递交报名表后,工作人员将会在3天内以电话连系你到新青协会址(澳门若翰亚美打街7号友联大厦地下I铺)缴交报名费。

- 配对志工营的程序将在收到报名表及报名费后立即启动。

 准备出发

- 当申请配对成功,会收到由本会发出的接纳电邮以及志工营详细资料单张,你就可以开始安排旅程。

- 你亦需要填妥及提交航班时间表、保险单副本电邮至本会。

- 出发前及参与途中,请与我们工作人员和你所属的志工营小保姆保持联系。

- 准备整装待发的心情出发吧!

**毕竟参与外国志工营都有机会遇上不同「挑战」,建议申请者报名前先了解欲前往国家/地区的相关情况。
